Moving Permits
Oversize/Overweight Permits are needed for transporting loads that
weigh 80,000 pounds or are more than 14 feet high or 11 feet wide.
Single use permits need to be issued every time you transport a load
over 80,000 pounds. Oversized permits may be issued either per trip
for $10 or you can purchase a yearly permit for $25 for unlimited
trips. Overweight Permits are required on State highways as well as
Guthrie County roads. If your route is also on a State Highway, you
would need to obtain a State permit. After you have received your
State permit you would just Fax, mail or deliver in person a signed
copy of the State permit to the Guthrie County Engineer's Office and
we will issue you a County moving permit.

Entrance Permit
The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors recognizes that it has
an obligation to provide its citizens with access to the County Road
System. The Board also recognizes that the installation of entrances
are of principal interest or convenience to only the immediate
Private Property Owner, and once installed becomes the
responsibility of Guthrie County to maintain.

Utilities Permit Utility
companies, corporations, individuals wanting to install utilities or
tile lines in the county right of way need to obtain a permit for
use of county right of way. An application needs to be completed to
obtain a permit. It explains where the work will take place and what
the work will include. The County Engineer looks over the area and
determines if the application is permissible or not.
